During this period of closure due to COVID-19 membership fees taken via direct debit will continue to be collected unless you have instructed otherwise. When we re-open the direct debit that has been taken will be credited against future membership fees. We are extremely grateful for your continued support during this period, as a small charity this is a difficult situation for us however we are taking actions to secure the future of Cyclopark.
We understand that you have queries around your membership and the fee which is currently being taken via direct debit. So we hope this update answers your questions as we have three options with regards to your membership:
1. Members who want to continue paying and are happy to receive credit once we re-open.
Members who continue to pay membership fees by direct while we are closed will receive a credit against their future membership fees for the value of the period Cyclopark was closed. If you are happy to continue paying for your membership and be credited when we re-open, no further action is required.
2. Members who want to freeze membership for the period we are closed.
If you wish to freeze your membership please let us know by e-mailing email@example.com. Please note that as per your terms of conditions, we require 7 working days notice prior to the 1st of the month to be able to freeze your membership before the monthly fee is debited from your account. If less than 7 working days’ notice a given before your next direct debit is due, then your account will not be frozen until after the next direct debit is taken. Once we are in a position to re-open, your membership will automatically reactivate.
3. Members who want to cancel their membership.
If you do not wish to freeze your membership which will stop all direct debits being taken while we are closed, you do have the option to cancel. However, if you wish to cancel your membership the two full calendar months’ notice will apply as per your membership terms and conditions. If you wish to cancel, please email your notice to firstname.lastname@example.org. We do however hope that you remain as a member during this difficult time.
